Okanagan Hockey Academy (Penticton, BC) are the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) U17 Western Championships for the second straight season after a 3-2 win over Delta Hockey Academy (Delta, BC).
Delta would grab the first goal of the game as Victor Lee (2G) took advantage of a turnover and fired one past an unsuspecting Holden Tamm (30/32) just 1:48 into the game.
The OHA power play, which went 3-for-5, would strike in the second as Tyler Donaldson (2G) buried a rebound on Lucas Disiewich (41/44) 7:54 into the second. Lee would respond with a power play goal of his own 10 minutes later before Chris Pellatt buried another rebound on the power play to even the score heading into the third.
It was Donaldson and the OHA power play that would give put the home side back in front as they took the lead with 7:23 left to play. Tamm and OHA would hold on and survive a late Delta push, giving them their second straight Championship.
